The president of the PNV EBB, Aitor Esteban, has stressed that jeltzales have sent "the best people" to Madrid because "there is a lot at stake." On the other hand, Kogresu's spokeswoman, Maribel Vaquero, has stressed that there will be more Basque MPs, but that the PNV "is the only one who defends the Basque Country."

The General Secretary of the Basque Socialists, Eneko Andueza, has been "excited" and has assured that the party will repeat its victory in 2023 and has been convinced that the agreement reached with the Broad Front in the Senate will help "not to lose any effort."

Minguez was nominated to Congress for Lleida, but after learning of his partner's alleged real estate business, he has decided to renounce his candidacy and his status as a deputy.

EH Bildu has launched a process to select candidates in the three historic territories, whose names will be known by the end of next week.

The Organic Law on the General Electoral Regime (LOREG) establishes all time limits, such as the establishment of polling stations, which are the responsibility of the municipalities under the supervision of the Area Electoral Boards; failure to do so may result in fines, penalties and up to one year's imprisonment.

Composed of 69 deputies from political parties representing Congress, Parliament was dissolved following the call for elections, and now the relationship of strength of political parties is different in this institution, including the adoption of housing decrees.

The PNV has noted that some of the amendments proposed by them have been taken into account and will maintain the same position as in the plenary session of the Permanent Council of Congress, "out of responsibility and consistency".

The President of the Spanish Government has decided to dissolve the Cortes Generales and call citizens to the polls after Congress on Friday rejected the housing decrees.

A group of activists threw leaflets from the public gallery into the Chamber at the cry of "vulture funds rule Congress" following the vote on the housing bill containing the automatic extension of rents, which was repealed with the votes of PP, Vox, Junts, PNV, UPN and Coalición Canaria.

The first decree was rejected by PP, Vox and Junts, and the second, on automatic rent extension, was also voted against by the PNV.

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, has warned the PP and Junts that if the housing decrees are finally rejected, "history will judge you sooner than you think and firmer than you think."

Hundreds of demonstrators camped in the Puerta del Sol have marched in front of the Congress of Deputies. The spokeswoman for the Union of Tenants, Alicia del Río, has described it as "very serious" that the two housing decrees promoted by the coalition government should be revoked and has called for a "general strike for housing" because "it cannot be allowed" parliamentary groups in the Congress of Deputies to reject the initiative.

The plenary of the Congress will begin at 11 a.m. and the result of the vote will be known around 3 p.m.
