The Basque People's Party

Today, the People's Party officially presented its candidate for the mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Iñaki García Calvo, who, in the opinion of the people, is the right person to lead the change that the city needs, to lay the foundations of the city for the next two or three decades.

The president of the Basque PP believes that the PNV "endorses the demands of the left" and argues that the PP is "the only alternative to socialism and exclusionary and stupid nationalism." 

The mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz has denounced the radicalization of politics at the PSE-EE Youth Congress. He has pointed out that at one end are the PP and Vox, "poisoning the environment." At the other, he has criticized the "brutal intolerance of those who commit vandalism and burn flags."

The president of the Basque PP has told the lehendakari that "we have been listening for too long to promises of transformation and sovereign rhetoric aimed at diverting attention from the management problems of the government."

The spokeswoman for the PP in the Basque Parliament, Laura Garrido, criticised the fact that lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, showed in his speech a 'lack of empathy' and stressed that lehendakari 'has not announced concrete measures' to respond to the main problems of the Basques, such as housing and security.

EH Bildu advocates a "shared" strategy between the sector and the institutions. The Socialists consider it necessary to create "a front of protection of the Rioja Alavesa against climate change." The PP believes that rural areas are "abandoned" and promises initiatives to change the situation. 

The president of the Basque PP, Javier de Andrés, participated on Saturday in Bilbao at the end of a day organised by the New Generations of his party in which he criticised the prison policy of the Basque Government and reproached the former leader of ETA Henri Parot for having awarded him the third degree.

The aim of these meetings will be to analyse the political and socio-economic situation of the Basque Autonomous Community, to discuss the proposed budgets of the Basque Government for next year and to find a way to deepen self-government. Today, Jon Hernández, spokesperson for the Parliamentary Summary, and Javier de Andrés, president of the Basque PP, will sit with the lehendakari Imanol Pradales. 

EH Bildu has rejected the attacks, but has described them as "one-off events." The PP has asked the Security Adviser about the "political connection" of the Txosna Too Hard, where last Sunday's incidents occurred.

The Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats today made official its candidacies for the capitals for the municipal elections to be held in May next year at an event in Galicia, Santiago de Compostela.

Interviewed onthe Boulevard de Radio Euskadi, the president of the Basque PP, Javier de Andrés, has denounced the bullying of a part of Basque society which, according to him, includes ertzainas, members of CCOO, mayors of all parties except one, and those wearing the t-shirt of the Spanish team.

The Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats has paid tribute to Councillor Miguel Ángel Blanco in Ermua on the 29th anniversary of his murder by ETA, with the presence of his sister Mari Mar Blanco, the president of the Basque people, Javier de Andrés, and the deputy secretary of Cuca Gamarra.

EH Bildu, Ezker Anitza, Steilas and LAB have joined in criticizing the court decision, while PP and PSE-EE have called on the university to take action.

The General Secretary of the Basque PP, Esther Martinez, has announced that her party will ask for explanations for the number of zero in the Basque language exams in the USaP, most of which have been held by students from concerted schools, model A and some courts.

The popular leader has proposed a government without Vox to "clean up the institutions" and call the polls. "To call elections, we don't need Vox to be in government," he said.

The PP's Secretary General, Miguel Tellado, has asked the jeltzale party and the other parties that made it possible for the PSOE to reach the Spanish Government to choose between "being with Pedro Sánchez or being with democracy."
