The end of Francoism 50 years ago does not mean that all its identity marks have disappeared. Experts warn that the ideological basis that fueled Franco's regime is still alive. 

The Official Secrets Act of 1968 was born within the framework of the Franco dictatorship, and although 50 years have passed since the death of the dictator, its reform has not yet been carried out. The regime of official secrets in force in the Spanish State empowers the Council of Ministers and the Council of Chiefs of Staff to classify information that may endanger the security and defence of the State into two categories: secret and reserved.

They will remember the last gunmen of Francoism with a round table where two writers will talk about these events on the occasion of Dictatorship Victims Day.

The lehendakari has defended the action of the Ertzaintza on 12 October on several streets in the centre of the Alavesa capital, where radical groups burned containers and caused extensive material damage following a rally called by the Spanish Falange.
