Arrested the assailant who touched the breasts of two Femen activists in protest against a mass in honor of Franco

The National Police arrestedtheperpetrator of the attack on two activists at the du Femen, who were reported to have been pushed, insulted and touched by demonstrators at the door of the Parish of the Twelve Apostles in Madrid on 20 November, where amass organized by the family of Francisco Franco was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the dictator's death.

The activists approached the mass with cries of "Legal fascism, national shame," and "Fascism, neither honor nor glory," carrying banners of cloth.

At that time, they were warned by several of the participants in the mass. The demonstrators have been accused of being attacked by a man carrying an unconstitutional flag. The demonstrators explained that another woman had removed one of the banners from them and had been pushed, insulted and touched in the chest.

After that, the activists filed a complaint.

As reported by the Spanish Government Delegation, the arrest is part of the "firm commitment against sexual violence, the defence of women's rights and the guarantee of the free exercise of the right of demonstration and assembly".

Although the investigation continues, the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the police.
