Almost half of the nurses and physiotherapists in the Basque Country have suffered offensive comments, according to a survey by the SATSE Nursing Union. More than 85% of the cases are reported. The study has been released on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Osakidetza develops strategic projects in mental health care to address the complex problems of social impact ,such as suicide prevention, intervention in early psychotic episodes or attentionto eating disorders.

Unemployment has continued differently in the three Basque provinces: in Bizkaia, 30 per cent of the professionals have supported the strike; in Gipuzkoa, 26.89 per cent; and in Álava, 16.52 per cent, according to Osakidetza.

Health Counselor Alberto Martinez has assured that Osakidetza placed a person to "take care" of the nurse who has been tried for simulation of vaccinations at the Kabiezes health center in Anturtzi as soon as she became aware of what was happening, after receiving the first complaints.

At first, symptoms such as mucus, cough, or fever appear, such as catarro, but after a few days other symptoms may appear, such as difficulty breathing, whistling, or fatigue, and this fatigue affects babies when they drink milk.

In the consultation itself, it allows health professionals to prescribe or prescribe certain content (courses, workshops, multimedia material...) so that patients and caring families can increase their knowledge and manage their illness better.

The Department of Health of the Basque Government says that this year it has also offered as many jobs as possible in the categories of Primary Care, with 115 in Family and Community Medicine, 37 in Family and Community Nursing and 30 in Paediatrics.
