Donald Trump has revealed some details of the operation he described as one of the "most accurate attacks" in U.S. military history. The U.S. Army had been planning an attack for months to capture Nicolas Maduro and his wife.

"We need Greenland for national security, it's a very strategic place right now, full of Russian and Chinese ships," Donald Trump stressed in a statement on the Air Force One plane.

Rodriguez has once again advocated negotiations with Washington. But the US president has declared that the Venezuelan government is "in charge" of the United States of America.

Although many believe that Venezuelan opponents Maria Corina Machado or Edmundo González would take power after the arrest of Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice has granted leadership to the hitherto Vice President of Venezuela, as well as to the Trump administration.

Venezuela could soon become the world's oil power if licensed to international companies, as Trunpe predicted. But black gold is not the only goal: the Latin American country also has large reserves of minerals, natural gas, nickel, and coltan.

"Trump has begun his imperialist plan with the aim of benefiting the extreme right and the powerful," said Igor Zulaika, EH Bildu's Head of International Policy and Relations. "We have come together for peace, democracy and the right to self-determination."

The Venezuelan Supreme has replaced Delcy Rodriguez, but Trump has said the US will lead the country "until a safe, adequate, and sensible transition is made."

The Boeing 757 military aircraft carrying Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro landed at around 23:00 this Saturday in New York. The leftist leader has descended from the plane with his head covered, surrounded by agents.

In early 2013, Maduro's career changed radically as he became president of Venezuela. Chavez died on March 5 and elections were called, in which Maduro won 51% of the vote, defeating Henrique Capriles.

Venezuela's only legitimate president, Nicolas Maduro, stressed on Saturday that the executive vice president of Venezezuela, after being arrested by US military forces.

"We will rule that country as long as there is a safe, adequate and reasonable transition. In other words, we do not want Maduro to be replaced by anyone and to repeat the situation we have had in recent years," he said at a press conference from his headquarters in Florida.

Thousands of people from Venezuela live in the Basque Country, many of whom are opposed to Nicolas Maduro's government. They are hopeful about what happened and hope for a peaceful transition.

Although it has been described as an attack on drug trafficking, experts believe that Trump's real goal is to bring about political change in Venezuela.

Russia has denounced an "armed attack" with "unfounded excuses," Spain has called for "de-escalation and moderation," and the Argentine president has celebrated the attack.

Aircraft have been heard along with the explosions, and some of the explosions have occurred at the country's main military base, Fort Tiuna, west of the city, and at the military base of La Carlota.

 Trumphas declared in recent days that the Iranian government is trying to redevelop its nuclear program and has been prepared to respond with possible  bombings, as it did with Israel in June.

So far, neither the Pentagon nor the US Government nor Venezuela have confirmed the attack mentioned by Trump. If confirmed, it would be the first US attack on Venezuelan soil.
