For thesecond year in a row Celedonwill be embodied by Iñaki Kerejazu, and there are only a few hours left to take his usual umbrella, wine aged and handkerchief and startthe White Virgin's parties this Monday, August 4, at 6:00.

It will descend from the tower of the church of San Miguel to the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, and, like every year, it will be full of people eager to start the parties. As the day progresses, the sky will shine and a very warm atmosphere is expected, with temperatures of up to 35 ° C, so it will be essential to protect it from the sun and to be well hydrated.

Celedon's descent will be broadcast from 17:30 on ETB2 and orain.eus. Amaiur Elizari, Josune Velez de Mendizabal lagun, Reporter, Leire Barriocanal and Iñigo Ciganda 

A prolific program, with many actions

The program includes more than 400 activities with proposals designed for all citizens. Music will have a special role and free concerts will take place in the Plaza de los Fueros, with artists such as Bulego, Isabel Laayoune, Rozalen, Mago de Oz and Zea Mays.

Tatta & Denso, Gorka Urbizu and Izaki Gardenak, among others, will be on stage in Machete Square, while the Falerina Garden will be the stage for local groups and soloists who will have the opportunity to make themselves known.

On the other hand, the txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz will offer concerts of artists and groups such as Fermin Muguruza, Olatz Salvador, Brigade Loco, Bizardunak and Arene 6.

More activities for children and families

Activities aimed at children and families will be of great importance, for example, with spaces such as "Txiki Explorer" in the park of Arriaga, and on 7 August, the day of Edurne and Celedon Txiki, the show "Akelarre Foc" of the company Lekittoko Deabruak will be held on Olaguibel Street, a show of light, fire and pyrotechnics based on Basque mythology.

To the dedication to the children must be added the circus, puppet and children's theatre of the Plaza del Conde de Peñaflorida, the mini-records of the Gardens of Bishop Fernandez de Pierola, the Comparsa de Gargantua, Gigantes, Cabezudos, Horses and Cotos, and, of course, the activities of Edurne and Celedon Txiki on the 7th.

EITB will also offer live the descent of Edurne and Celedon Txiki with the story of Ilaski Serrano and Ane Pedruzo, and the ascent of Zeledon  (Saturday at 00:40 hours on ETB1 and now on A0Ane Pedruzo.

In addition, the fireworks and the traditional bull of fire will be protagonists every night, one of the moments most awaited by citizens and visitors. As for the exhibition of pyrotechnic shows in Vitoria-Gasteiz, it will re-illuminate the sky of Vitoria from Mendizabala at 23:00, by the hand of the houses Valecea (Álava, August 5), Josman (Ourense, August 6), Alto Palanca (Castello, August 7).

Likewise, the Blouses eta neskas have all the events planned for the White Virgin's festivities, which this year will once again fill the city with festive atmosphere with a programming of varied activities, including dances, children's games, popular tastings, kalejiras, walks and all kinds of contests.

Among them are bowling championships, rural sports tests and other more special tests, such as the launch of alpargatas or the ever-striking Goitibe Descent.

Traffic incidents

On the occasion of the holidays, there will be traffic incidents in the city. Punctual cuts, diversions of urban bus lines and restrictions on access are planned in and around the centre of the main public holidays. For all these reasons, the City Council recommends the use of public transport and the planning of travel in advance.
