229 DEAD

GOIDIA caused unusual rainfall in the main ravines, accumulating 771 litres per square metre in 24 hours in Turis, which in an hour dropped 187 litres, the historic mark of the Spanish State.
564 KM2 DAMAGED SURFACE
A total of 75 Valencian municipalities with one million inhabitants and 30% of GDP and employment in the province were destroyed. The so-called 'zero zone' of GOIDI was Paiporta, Catarroja or Aldaia, each with more than 20,000 victims.
ONE MILLION TONS OF WASTE
An average of 15,000 tons per day were withdrawn and 767 roads were cleared in the first few weeks in the most affected villages. A total of 70,000 cubic metres of mud, 130,000 vehicles or 20,000 tons of cane have been evacuated.
