Film festival, dancing to Naomi Watts on day two
British actress Naomi Watts arrived in San Sebastian yesterday at noon, but today she will have all eyes on herself at the San Sebastian film festival; today, on Saturday, the protagonist of David Lynch's film Mulholland Drive will receive the Donostia Prize.
At 22:15, the award ceremony for the Festival will begin, and the actress will receive the trophy from JA Bayona, the filmmaker who directed the film The Impossible .
At this year's festival, Watts presents The Housewife , the first feature film by director Ben Shirinian, whose protagonist discovers that a suspected Nazi lives hidden in New York, and becomes friends with the main suspect's loving wife.
Two more awards will be presented on this second day of the Festival, the actress Patricia López Arnaiz will receive the Our Film Award, and Carmen Machi will receive the Spanish Film Award.
On the other hand, in the Official Section, 5 minutes more will be presented the Spanish film film by Catalan director Javier Ruiz Caldera, and in the section of Basque cinema Zinemira the documentary Itzalak argitu and the film Simulacro Nitya by López Saitua.
With music and cinema combined, the Basque Orchestra will perform at 6 p.m. at the Velodromo. Directed by Juan Jose Ocon and accompanied by Orfeón Donostiarra and tenor Andoni Martínez Barañano, they will perform a selection of pieces by Carmelo Bernaola (Summer Azul, Tormento, La clave...) as well as Sacamantecas \u00a0 and Winnipeg.
