Bilbao Blues will fill the Arenal with free concerts

The fifth edition of the Bilbao Blues will offer free  concerts in the Arenal from 24 to 26 July. This year, the event will recognize the career of the Vizcaíno group Travellin 'Brothers, whose members will receive the traditional Bilbao Blues Festival Award 2026.

The director of the festival, Carlos Malles, has stressed that the aim of the programme "is that instead of bringing in the usual groups that are participating in the other festivals, it is an extraordinary festival". In this regard, he has stressed that the aim is "to offer a festival that allowsto enjoy different styles of music, both within the blues and similar ".

Friday, 24 July

• 19:00 - The Cherry Boppers & Patricia Reckless

• 20:45 - Mark Hummel's Blues Blowout

• 22:30 - Judith Hill Keler Stage Singer and multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with Michael Jackson and Prince. 

Saturday, 25 July

• 11:00 a.m. - Héctor Martinez conference at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (Auditorium) Conference entitled "Underground Railroad: Train drivers of freedom and their songs", with the participation of Mayka Edjole and Alex Caporuscio. 

• 12:30 - Ian Siegal Electric Band Space Volotea (Kiosk) Vermut session with the famous British guitarist.

• 14:00 - Blues Train Volotea Zone (Kiosk) Special combo of national musicians with Txako Jones, Mingo Balaguer or Paul St. Martin.

• 19:00 - Ivan Singh Keler Stage Concert of the Argentine guitarist and singer. 

• 20:45 - Bilbao All Star Blues Band Keler Stage Show with American stars Bob Stroger, Willie Buck, Teeny Tucker, Jimi Primetime Smith, Anthony Geraci, Wes Starr and Bob Corritore.

• 22:30 - Travellin 'Brothers

Sunday, 26 July

• 11:30 - Boogie Woogie Popular Dance Classes Volotea Area (Kiosk) Session open to the public by Carlos Etxebarria (School of Swing Portugalete). 

• 12:30 - Skyler Saufley Volotea Area (Kiosk) Jump, swing and blues concert on the West Coast.

• 14:00 - Bilbao All Star Blues Band Space Volotea (Kiosk) Second performance in morning format.

• 19:30 - III Volotea Blues Challenge Space Volotea (Kiosk) End of national competition with Chino Swingslide Quartet, Cooking Raw Blues, Danny Boy Blues Band and The Ubangi Stomp.
