José Antonio Jainaga will receive this year's Joxe Mari Korta Prize
The Department of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability of the Basque Government has awarded to the industrialist Jose Jainaga the Joxe Mari Korta Prize for 2025, the highest award of the Basque Government in the field of business. The Joxe Maria Korta Awards are awarded annually for the recognition of Basque entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves by their vital and entrepreneurial career.
José Antonio Jainaga is an industrial engineer and studied at the Superior Technical School of Industrial Engineers in Bilbao. He has developed his entire professional career in the industry. He is currently president of Sidenor. Sidenor is a leading industrial group in the production of long special steels with productive factories in Euskadi, Cantabria and Catalonia.
In addition, a billiard industrialist, he has been president of the Association of High Energy Consumption Companies for four years and has created the Mirai Industrial Corporation to boost and boost its creation for the purchase of industrial companies in various sectors.
On July 10 he will receive the award in San Sebastian, at an event presided over by President Imanol Pradales .
