664 people or companies owe 322.4 million euros to the Navarre Treasury

On31 December 2024, the Government of Navarre published a list of persons and companies in debt to the Treasury, with a total of 664 debtors, 11 more than the previous year, amounting to 322.4 million euros , 2.8 million more.
According to the Foral Government, 42 debtors have appeared on this list for the first time, while 31 have been removed from the list for various reasons, including the conclusion of the creditor competition, the reduction of the debt by 120,000 euros or the extension of payment terms.
Asfor the type of tax, it is VAT that accumulates the highest debt: EUR 105.1 million, followed by penalties (EUR 60.3 million) and unanswered delay files (EUR 50.3 million).
By sectorof activity, construction/promotion, commerce and hospitality are the sectors with the highest debt to the Treasury. Ss account for 55% of total debt, 178.3 million euros.
219 debtors belong to the construction sector. The amount they owe has also fallen from the previous year and stood at 107.5 million.
By type of debtor and domicile , 76.31 per cent are legal persons and 90.83 per cent are based in Navarre.
Of the total, 9.64% (64 debtors) are in creditor competition.
With the publication of the list of debtors, the Hacienda de Navarra complies with the General Tax Act, according to which it is mandatory to report persons and companies whose debt exceeds 120,000 euros, provided that it is firm and is not cancelled or postponed on 31 December.
