El movimiento de pensionistas se reunirá el 17 de julio con el lehendakari y le pedirá su apoyo para igualar las pensiones al SMI
El Movimiento de Pensionistas de Euskal Herria registró en el Parlamento Vasco una iniciativa legislativa popular que reclama complementos para llegar a ese mínimo. En la reunión que mantendrán con Imanol Pradales le pedirán la disposición del Gobierno vasco a tramitar esa ley.
El lehendakari Imanol Pradales recibirá el próximo 17 de julio a los representantes del Movimiento de Pensionistas de Euskal Herria, que le pedirán "que apoye" la Iniciativa Legislativa Popular (ILP) por la que se reclama la equiparación de las pensiones mínimas al Salario Mínimo Interprofesional (SMI).
La plataforma de pensionistas ha celebrado este lunes en la Plaza Nueva de Vitoria-Gasteiz su última concentración antes del parón veraniego. Las protestas se retomarán en septiembre. Al inicio de la concentración han anunciado su próxima reunión con Imanol Pradales. Han aprovechado también para informar que en esa reunión le explicarán el contenido la iniciativa legislativa y le pedirán que el Gobierno Vasco muestre su disposición favorable a tramitar la ley en el Parlamento.
El pasado 15 de mayo el Movimiento de Pensionistas de Euskal Herria entregó en el registro del Parlamento Vasco las 145.142 firmas que apoyan la Iniciativa Legislativa Popular, aunque la recogida de firmas continua. De hecho, en la concentración de este lunes se ha colocado una mesa para poder firmar.
La ILP, respaldada también por la mayoría de los sindicatos vascos (ELA, LAB, ESK, STEILAS, Etxalde e Hiru), demanda la creación de un sistema vasco de complemento de prestaciones que garantice que todos los pensionistas mayores de 60 años residentes y empadronados en Euskadi tengan unos ingresos mínimos equivalentes al 100 % del SMI, que para este año es de 1.184 euros brutos repartidos en 14 pagas.
