The works council of Gipuzkoa Avanza has announced that it has called offthe indefinite strike that began a month ago, considering that the "minimum conditions" for workers to exercise their right to strike are not met.
At a press conference held at the bus station in Donostia-San Sebastián, trade union representatives have denounced the company's attitude andthe "ignorant" by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, as well as the systematic failure to comply with the minimum services established by the Basque Government.
According to the Commission, Avanza does not respect the decisions of the Labour Inspectorate, nor does it reduce the temporary nature of the workforce, which has more than 230 permanent workers and 100 temporary workers, without a clear recruitment criterion.
