The Government of Navarre, through the Counsellor for the Interior, Public Service and Justice, AmparoLopez Antelo , has approved a Foral Order containing the criteria and guidelines for preventing the risk of forest fires.
This Foral Order has been approved due to the weather situation planned for the next few days and the fire that broke out this Wednesday in the Izarbeibar area, which has led to the launch of the Special Civil Protection Plan for Forest Fire Emergencies in the Foral Community of Navarre, level 2.
This Foral Order temporarily prohibits,throughoutthe territory of Navarre , the carrying out of agricultural, forestry and other activities on non-urbanisable land that use fire, machinery or equipment and whose operation may cause forest fires through explosions, sparks or electric shocks .
According to a report by the Emergency, Prevention and Civil Protection Service, the weather conditions in the coming days require the adoption of extraordinary measures to reduce the work that could lead to new fires.
