Red Eléctrica, a subsidiary of the Redeia Group, has warned the Ministry for the Ecological Transition of the Spanish Government and the Spanish Commission for Markets and Competition 0 that there have been "sudden incidents of tension in the electricity grid" and that there is a risk of a new blackout. The electric company has therefore urged both organizations to take "urgent measures" to strengthen the network.
Thus, immediately after receiving the Red Eléctrica report, the Spanish Commission on Markets and Competition has initiated the procedure for establishing 'temporary measures'.
