The Government of Gipuzkoa calls for "seriousness, transparency and rigour" in conducting TAV surveys
The General Representative of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza, has reiterated the "vital importance" of the connection between the 'Y Vasca' and the TAV of Navarre being carried out by Ezkio-Itsaso. The AHT Gelditu collective has asked the municipalities of Beasain, Idiazabal, Ataun (Gipuzkoa) and Baka0 not to cooperate with the drilling.

Inthis context, the General Member of Parliament of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza, has asked the Spanish Government for 'seriousness, rigour and transparency' in the survey work to be carried out in the Aralar area.
The Provincial Council has denounced in a statement that "the polls have not yet begun" for the connection of the High Speed Train with Navarre and that, as far as Gipuzkoa is concerned, "it is planned to be carried out on the previous route, without surrounding Aralar".
Mendoza has thus responded to yesterday's statements by Secretary of State José Antonio Santano on the connection between the High Speed Train and Navarre.
"It is confirmed that it is based on the proposal made by the Basque Government in its 2018 allegations, but on paper we see that the tastings now proposed do not correspond to the alternative route contained in that allegation document, which would surround Aralar in its entirety," he said.
Mendoza has described as disturbing the public statements made by Santano, a change that, in Mendoza's view, requires a "clear and precise" explanation.
Mendoza has also insisted that, for the "functionality and competitiveness" of the infrastructure, it is "vitally important" to make this connection from Ezkio-Itsaso and has called for the chain to "start as soon as possible, but get off to a good start."
