A 62-year-old man died in a work-related accident in Iturmendi
A 62-year-old lumberjack died on Thursday afternoon in a work-related accident in the Navarre town of Iturmendi.
The accident occurred in the area of Maugiaburu, in the municipality of Iturmendi, when a branch fell on the lumberjack while carrying out logging work. The emergency services managed to stabilize the 62-year-old man who had suffered multiple injuries as a result of the accident, but died while being transferred in a medicalized helicopter to the Navarra University Hospital Complex.
The Foral Police are investigating the causes of the accident and conducting proceedings.
