Basque taxi drivers will make a three-hour stoppage today, from 9:00 to 12:00, to denounce the "unfair competition"of platforms such as Uber and Cabify and in many cases illegal.
The Basque Taxi Federation has called a demonstration on the streets of Bilbao, which will depart at about 12:00 in the morning and arrive at the town hall of the capital city.
In a statement, the Federation has stressed that they are only calling for 'compliance with the rules' and that meetings with the Administration have not been sufficient to detect a change in the lack of supervision in recent years.
The sector insists that if the situation is not resolved, the mobilizations could be repeated in the coming days.
