The Basque Government will pay officials this year's salary increase in January
An increase of 1.5% is planned for next year, but the CCOO union in the Basque Country is calling for a further increase.
The Basque Government plans to include on the January payroll the outstanding increases of 2025 for public employees, although it has not specified whether it will be able to update wages by 2026 on the same payroll, since it has not yet received the updated tables from the Spanish State, as explained by CC. OO.
According to this union, at the General Bureau of Public Administration held this Monday in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the Basque Government has ratified the 2.5% wage increase agreed for the entire State for the staff of public administrations.
An increase of 1.5% is planned for next year, although at the meeting the union CC. OO. of the Basque Country has called for a greater increase, recalling that in the same year 2025 three sectors of the Basque Autonomous Community have experienced higher increases than those agreed, such as the Ertzaintza, Education or prison workers.
