TheRTI consortium led by the CAFE will carry out the comprehensive project of Lot 2 of the new line 10 of the Neapolitan metro. E.A.V. The project has been awarded by the transport operator of the Italian region of Campania, which includes the design and implementation of the automatic metro system. Together with the Basque company, the consortium consists of AET, Francesco Ventura Costruzioni Ferroviarie, Mer Mec STE and Leonardo.
The total value of the contract, with all the options envisaged, may exceed EUR 630 million . The initial base phase awarded is valued at EUR 259 million, as reported by the company based in Beasain (Gipuzkoa).
The full scope of Lot 2 includes the CBTC/ATO GoA4 signalling system, electrical substations, catenary, data networks, telecommunications, platform doors and the Operational Control Centre, the supply of the new 100% automatic train fleet, workshop equipment for new warehouses and their comprehensive maintenance.
These subway units, based on CAF's INNEO platform, will consist of three high-capacity cars with a "modern and innovative" interior and exterior design.
The company has stated that this contract is a "new milestone" in its history, as, in addition to its importance as a comprehensive mobility project, it "confirms the company's continued commitment to the railway signal segment."
