Petronor's synthetic fuel plant will be operational by 2027, with an investment of 170 million
The facility will produce synthetic fuels such as diesel, SAF and nafta, the main component of petrol, with a production capacity of 2,000 tons per year, which can be used in trucks, ships or aircraft.
The synthetic fuel plant that Petronor is building at the Port of Bilbao will have an investment of 170 million euros and is expected to be fully operational by 2027.
The facilities were visited this Tuesday by the General Representative of Bizkaia, Elixabete Etxanobe, coinciding with the arrival by sea of the 1200 tonnes of mechanical structure on which all equipment will be assembled.
Through the CO2 received and renewable hydrogen produced by the 10 MW electrolyzer, also located in the decarbonization hub of Petronor, the facility will produce synthetic fuels such as diesel, SAF and nafta, the main component of petrol, with a production capacity of 2,000 tons per year.
These fuels may be used in trucks, ships or aircraft.
