Talgo has secured a $1.32 billion contract in Arabia for the construction of 20 new high-speed trains
The 20 new trains are in addition to the 35 that Talgo supplied in 2018.
Talgo has signed a contract withthe Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) and will manufacture 20 new high-speed trains worth €1,332 million, which will be manufactured for the network linking the cities of Mecca, Medina and Yeda.
The new award has been obtained by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Ministry of Finance of the country through the Mecca Medina Spanish High Speed Consortium (CEAVMM), which is responsible for phase II of the "Haramain High Speed Railway" project, of which Talgo is part.
The 20 new trains are in addition to the 35 that Talgo supplied in 2018.
