The Deputy for Economic Promotion of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, Ainara Basurko, has stated that for the survival of Tubos Reunidosit is essential to define an industrial project that will affect employment and workers as little as possiblein the future, following the announcement of the company's viability plan.

The Foral Manager has pointed out that the company is going through a complex situation, mainly due to the imposition of tariffs by the United States and the high level of indebtedness, which makes it difficult to make it viable with the current cash flow. In this context, he hopes that the analysis to be carried out in the coming days will be based on dialogue and cooperation between all parties.

Tubos Reunidos has presented a feasibility plan that envisages an BTA for 301 people at its plants in Amurrio and Trapagaran, as well as measures to reduce costs and restructure debt, after closing by 2025 with losses of EUR 71.3 million and a negative ebitda of EUR 22.8 million.
