Sidenor closes the Azkoitia lamination train and transfers 36 workers to Cantabria

Sidenor will close the lamination train in Azkoitia and unify the production of lamination trains in Gipuzkoa and Cantabria at the Reinosa plant due to the "structural" drop in demand, resulting in the transfer of 36 workers from Azkoitia to the Reinosa plant.

The steel company has reported in a statement that this is a decision motivated by the "market situation" and that it will not have "traumatic consequences" because the 36 workers who will be transferred from Azkoitia to Reinosa will maintain their employment.
