Azkoitia.

The fire has started on Trino Uria Street, on the last floor of the building, around 1 p.m. on Monday. Bi people have been treated at the site, one of the injured has been burned and has had to be taken to hospital. The entire building has been evacuated and, although the fire has been left under control, the Azpeitia and Eibar firefighters are working to minimize the damage.

Ambulances, firefighters and a Osakidetza helicopter have moved to the scene to treat the wounded, causing long delays in the area.

Hundreds of people called by the works council have taken to the streets to protest the closure of the Sidenor lamination train in Azkoitia and the transfer of 36 workers to Reinosa (Cantabria). 

The steel group has decided to unify the production of lamination trains in Gipuzkoa and Cantabria, so that 36 of the 250 workers working in Azkoitia will be transferred to the Reinosa plant.

In the afternoon, dozens of people concentrated in the village square. 

To denounce what happened, Itaia called a rallytoday under the slogan "Resist male aggression!" at 7.30 p.m. in Azkoitia Square.

Juaristi is a company linked to the machine tool sector, created by the Aitek, which employs 130 workers, who have been in ERTE for months, owed money and lost 50 jobs in recent months.

About a year ago the labor dispute broke out, workers from both companies have appeared.  They believe management has "a covert closure plan."  130 jobs and several families have been reported to be "in danger."
