Azkoitiarra trikitilari Tomas Soraluze 'Epelde' died at the age of 81
Known for being part of the duo 'Epelde eta Larrañaga', together they recorded three albums and created the popular song Kupela .
Trikitilari Tomas Soraluze Balenciaga, known as' Epelde ', died on Saturday at the age of 81, according to the Euskal Herria Trikitixa Association, which was born in Azkoitia (Gipuzkoa) and inherited his fondness for music from his family and began playing trikitixa at the age of 8.
Together with pandero Anjel Larrañaga, they formed the duo 'Epelde eta Larrañaga' and recorded three albums with the label Elkar: 'Elkar gero' (1999), which included the famous song Kupela ; 'Arte?' (2001); and 'Agur' (2004).
On the other hand, the Euskal Herriko Trikitixa Elkartea recorded three pieces for the album collection 'Gure kolkotik' published in the 2011 edition. In 2022 it was also honored at the San Jose festival, in which it participated several times.
