On the night shift the workers of Amurrio of Tubos Reunited have started an indefinite strike, ending on Friday the consultation period of the ERE file without agreement.
Themajority of the Amurrio Tubos Reunited Workers (ELA, LAB and ESK) has called anindefinite strike since March 16 at that plant to reject theERE ETA, which affects 274 people at the Amurrio plant, as well as 27 people at the Trapagaran factory.
The strike will start on the night shift (22:00), but since a four-hour strike was previously called for today, it will actually take effect from 18:00 on Sunday afternoon.
Representatives of the Amurrio Reunion Tubes Works Council ELA, LAB and ESKtook theproposalto call an indefinite strike (14 out of 21) to the A0assembly last Wednesday and the workers supported it.
The workers want to reverse the company's decision and prevent the closure of the steelworks. They believe that a social agreement should be put in place that puts in place a feasibility plan and sets "a course" for the company without "forced redundancies".
On Friday theconsultation periodfor the negotiation of the ERE of Tubos Reunidos ended without agreement.
The company saysthat \u00A0is obliged to apply to 301 people the Employment Regulation Dossier (EVE) and to study all the scenarios that open up "in the face of this new situation".
