The Ertzaintza, which is investigating three men and five other persons allegedly involved in public disorder and attack, has identified 165 people on Tuesday during the general strike for a minimum wage of its own.
The Department of Security of the Basque Government has reported that the incidents have taken place in different parts of the territory, as part of the mobilizations called for on Tuesday, 17 March, by thousands of people throughout Hego Euskal Herria, coinciding with the general strike called by the unions ELA, LAB, Steilas, Etxalde and Hiruto demand a minimum wage of 1,500 euros.
In Bizkaia, one person has been proposed to be punished in Larrabetzuon charges of preventing workers from leaving the industrial site of Sarrikola. The Ertzaintza has reported that another person has been arrested in Bilbaoand another has been investigated for public disorder for crossing containers in the street. Agents of the Ertzaintza have identified three other demonstrators for throwing a fence at the tram.
During the demonstration in the centre of Bilbao, another man was arrested on charges of throwing paint at a police vehicle and assaulting two officers, and three people were identified in Plentzia for an unreported demonstration.
Withregard to Gipuzkoa, in Hernani , a person has been investigated for public disorder following the interruption of traffic on the GI-2132 road. In Errenteria, agents of the Ertzaintza have arrested another person accused of an attack on agents after a picket had painted on several facades and commercial establishments.
Finally, in Álava, in Llodio, a group of people have entered a hypermarket, three of whom have been investigated by the Ertzaintza for a public disorder offence.
