Elections are being held today to elect the trade union representatives of the Ertzaintza, and according to the current census, 7,078 Ertzainas can vote: 1,375 in Álava, 3,755 in Bizkaia and 1,948 in Gipuzkoa, and a total of 17 in Álava, 23 in Bizkaia and 20 in Gipuzkoa.
According to reports from the Department of Security of the Basque Government, the pre-voting period for these trade union elections ended on Tuesday, 24 March, with a total of 3,996 officers voting.
Well, the Ertzainas will be able to vote from 10:00 to 18:00, and if there are no incidents, the provisional results will be announced around 20:00.
The previous trade union elections of the Ertzaintza took place on 10 February 2022, and today the trade union representation in the Ertzaintza is as follows: ERNE 22 representatives, ESAN 20 representatives, EUSPEL 10 representatives, SIPE 7 representatives and ELA 4 representatives.
