Suddenly the festival will pause for an hour by 'joining' the technicians' strike
The first edition of the music festival will begin with the denunciation of the working conditions of the entertainment staff, with the cancellation of Friday's schedule from 21:00 to 22:00.
The festival will hold a one-hour break on Friday, May 15, from 21:00 to 22:00in solidarity with the strike called by the technical staff of the shows.
The organization has explained that in recent days a number of meetings have been held with the agents promoting the strike and that they have learned first-hand about the precarious working conditions in the live music and entertainment sector and the demands of the workers.
Those responsible for the festival have recalled that Batbatean is an initiative made up of people who are part of the music industry in the Basque Country and who are "closely aware" of the precariousness in the sector and who even "suffer in many cases".
In this regard, they have stressed that they have felt the need to make visible the situation of the workers behind the culture and the shows and to join the call for strikes, so that Friday's concert programme will be interrupted for an hour on the festival's main schedule.
Suddenly it is the new music festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which will be held for the first time this weekend, 15 and 16 May, in the parking lot of Mendizabala and will bring together groups and artists such as La Elite, Skabidean, Kaos Etiliko, Brigade Loco, Gozategi, Roy Ellis or Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Band, among many others.
