LAB reports a carrier in Andoain died from a heat shock
The LAB union has reported that an Andoain carrier died this Friday as a result of a heat blow while unloading the cargo he was carrying in his truck in Burgos .
According to the union in a statement, the 56-year-old workerhas suffered a multiorgan shock caused by high temperatures.
The interunion, made up of LAB, ESK, STEILAS, EHNE-Etxalde and HIRU , has called a rally for next Monday, 29, in front of the building of the Basque Government on Andía Street in San Sebastián, to denounce the death of 36 people working in the Basque Country.
LAB has explained thatthe incidence of fatal accidents in the transport sector is "particularly high"and has denounced the employers' failure to comply with the regulations on the prevention of occupational risks. On the other hand, there is administrative neglect, since it does not put in place the necessary means or measures to ensure that companies comply with these prevention rules.
