The Basque Government, together with other investors, is considering participating in the rescue of the Basque manufacturer of sea-use chains based in Sestao.

The Basque Government could undertake a new operation within the strategy to consolidate the entrenchment and growth of key Basque companies. In this case, it would be considering participating in the rescue of the historic manufacturer of sea-use chains Vicinay, based in Sestao (Bizkaia).
The Basque Government would share the operation with the Ekarpen fund, in which the Basque Government itself, Kutxabank, Mondragon Inversiones and the three Member States participate, as well as with private investors.
As EITB has learned, the Basque Government is in contact to close the operation, which has not yet been confirmed.
