A 51-year-old worker dies in a paper company in Iurreta
Two Ertzaintza officers who participated in the relief device had to be treated at the scene by health personnel who had been poisoned by inhalation of the gases emitted.
A 51-year-old worker died on Friday after being rescued from a tank of a paper company in the Arrandi district of Iurreta (Bizkaia), according to the Basque Department of Security.
The accident at work took place around 11:40 a.m., when the worker was inside a tank and had to be rescued by a partner.
Emergency services and medical personnel have been called to the scene and reanimation manoeuvres have been carried out, but theyhave only been able to confirm his death.
