The animal from a herd of more than 200 sheep vaccinated against the disease has tested positive for serotype 3 of the bluetongue.
A case of bluetongue disease of serotype 3 has been detected in a herd in Barrundia (Álava), and the Provincial Council of Álava has notified Anternational Health Alert Network, as confirmed on Wednesday by the Provincial Council itself.
