Vicinay management proposes a general ERTE and an ERE for 60 people
In September, after losing a major order, the company, which has a 200 operator plant in Sestao, reported that it would have to take "the necessary measures to ensure the company's employability."
Vicinay's management today presented to the works council a general ERTE and an employment regulation dossier (ERE) for 60 workers, with the aim of tackling the crisis.
The management's proposal is "anERTE (Temporary Employment Regulation Dossier) until 31 July for all people and an ERE for 60 people. "
This proposal will have to be negotiated with the labour delegation from 9 November, when the consultation period will begin: "This consultation period will be discussed and negotiated in order to find a way to minimise the impact on people."
The company argues that "market difficulties "force the activity of the Sestao plant to decline temporarily and definitively.
In September, the Industry Advisor ofthe Basque Government, Mikel Jauregi \ u00A0, confirmed that the company Vicinay, which has a plant in Sestao (Bizkaia), had lost "a large demand" that would have given it a heavy workload.
In July, the Basque Government announced its participation in the acquisition of the business group through thecompany ECN All Wind , a division created by the group Velora, led by Dámaso Quintana, which specializes in offshore wind power and electricity transport and distribution networks.
In order to carry out the operation, the Government will use the recently established Ezten II Venture Capital Fund, which will invest 7.5 million euros in 7.8% of ECN All Win, which will be 100% owned by Vicinay.
