The Office of the Attorney-General of Murcia will begin proceedings this Tuesday against the president of the ultra-right-wing Vox party in that autonomous community to examine whether or not there is a hate crime in his statements in connection with what is happeningin Torre Pacheco.
The Public Prosecutor's Office has specified in a statement that the comments posted on social media by Jose Angel Antelo will also be investigated and that the investigation will be taken over by the Prosecutor for hate crimes.
The Public Prosecutor's Office has taken this decision after PSOE, United Left and Podemos have denounced the leader of the ultra-right to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Prior to the investigation, Antelo himself has stated to journalists that "telling the truth will never be a hate crime" and that he has previously been charged for similar reasons.
On the other hand, he has insisted that Vox has "never" called for violence and stressed that the party that is being attacked and threatened is the party led by Santiago Abascal.
