The agreement ended with the renovation of facilities such as the response to the notable aumento de personas usuarias registered in the last few years. Among the improvements carried out in the area, which, from now on, has been renamed Bilbao Caravan Park, se has created a new main infrastructure that provides access to all the services of the area, and has transformed the old facility.
Según ha indicado el Ayuntamiento de Bilbao, se trata de "un espacio de referencia muy consolidado y valorado por quienes visitan la ciudad y sus alrededores utilizando este recurso de alojamiento".

Entre las mejoras realizadas en el área, que a partir de ahora passe a denominar Bilbao Caravan Park, se creado una nueva infraestructura principal que da accésit a todos los servicios del área, y se transformado la instalación antigua, que pasa a espacio de ocio y encuentro para las personas usuarias.
Con esta intervención, el Consistorio bilbaíno quiere reforzar su apuesta por "un turismo sostenible y de calidad, ofrecendo un entorno cómodo, accessible y adaptado a las necesidades y cifras actuales de quienes viajan en caravana o autocaravana".

Durante el año 2024, un total de 19 848 vehículos con 44 977 ocupantes disfrutaron del área, siendo los meses de mayo (4805 personas usuarias) y agosto (6365 ocupantes) los de mayor afluencia. Entre enero y mayo de este año 2025, han sido 6525 vehículos que suman un total de 14 194 personas las que han pasado por el espacio.
