The local police have arrested a 42-year-old man in Vitoria-Gasteiz for threatening his former partner with a bottle, a crime of gender-based violence.
The events took place last Wednesday. Shortly after 13:00, the Coordination Centre requested a patrol carrying out public security work to head to a portal in the Lovaina neighbourhood, where an argument was taking place between a man and a woman.
The police came to the scene and found the victim, who told them that he had had an argument in his apartment with his former partner, that they had been fighting, that the man had threatened him, and that the quarrel continued on the public road until passers-by managed to get him away.
Thanks to the description provided, another patrol located the alleged aggressor in a nearby establishment, and in view of the statements of the victim and a witness, the officers arrested the man.
