The Solidarity with Palestine platform has called for a rally this afternoon in Bilbao to show its support for those detained during the Return protests

The Solidarity with Palestineplatform  has called for a rally in Bilbao on Thursday to "show solidarity" with those arrested and injured in the riots following the protests against the Israeli cycling group. In the same vein, Security Adviser Bingen Zupiria has lamented "the criminalization of actions in favour of Palestine."

The rallywill takeplace from 19: 00 in the Arriaga Square in Bilbao, according to the platform in a statement, which has defended the need for protests to call for the expulsion of the Israeli Premier Tech group, which "uses sport internationally to justify its image with the complicity of Western countries."  "We must press against all these complicity to stop the genocide and achieve the freedom of Palestine," he said.

The fact that the protests on the Gran Vía in Bilbao forced the Vuelta goal to advance three kilometres has, in the group's view, been a "victory for Palestine" and "may be the first step towards the expulsion of the Zionist IPT group."

On the other hand, the Security Adviser, Bingen Zupiria, has denounced the statements of "Police repression" eta Bingen Zupiria after suspending the end of the stage.

In this regard, the platform has called for this afternoon's mobilisation in solidarity and support for the three detainees and has called for "the need to multiply the fighting against Israel and its accomplices".
