Basque society views climate change with responsibility and pessimism
Negationism has little room; only 1.6% of the Basque population denies climate change, but there is also a certain climate of pessimism on this issue, and 21% of the population believe that there is no solution.

The reality of the EITB Data report on rising temperatures is also reflected in the perception of society: three out of four citizens are concerned about climate change.
Moreover, a large majority, 95%, believe that this situation has been caused in some way by human activity , while negationism is very small.

However, with regard to the chances of reversing this situation, there has been a sense of pessimism in society. Most believe that there may still be a chance of stopping and mitigating the consequences, but 21% believe that it has no solution and that nothing can be done.
MAIN CONCLUSIONS
For the citizens of the CSC, heat waves, rising sea levels and floods are the most likely effects of climate change on us.
