A man was arrested this morning in eastern Seville on charges of killing a woman with a knife, sources from the Spanish National Police have confirmed.
Sources from the Andalusian Emergency Service 112 received a warning about 03:10, when a witness warned them that a woman who had been attacked was "bleeding and asking for help" in a porch on Tigris Street.
Health sources have only been able to confirm the death of the victim and have indicated that this could be a case of gender-based violence.
In addition, health personnel from 061 have informed 112 that the alleged aggressor, a 21-year-old man, has been taken to Virgen Macarena Hospital after self-injured.
The Spanish police have opened an investigation to determine the causes of the crime and whether this is a case of male violence.
