The incidents took place in the early morning of 20 July, when a Ertzaintza patrol identified a young man for painting on urban furniture and proposed that he be punished.
The Ertzaintza has closed the investigationthat it had openedas a result of public disorder on 20 July in Azpeitia (Gipuzkoa), in which a total of 23 persons have been identified as being under investigation and a minor under the age of 16 has been arrested.
The final number of those investigated has risen to 23, after in recent days the Ertzaintza has identified two other young people, both 18 years old, for their alleged involvement in these public disorder.
The Department of Security of the Basque Government has reported that, once the investigations have been completed, the Ertzaintza has sent the relevant police proceedings to the Court on charges of public disorder and attack on law enforcement officials.
