Usansolo will be questioning the subway route and the location of the station this Sunday
The Usansolo will vote today between different connectivity options, following controversy over the abolition of the town centre's main station in the new railway project.
Theinitiative promoted by the citizen platform in the Central Station wants to gather the public's opinion on how the metro should reach the municipality, since the official project has ruled out keeping the current station in the centre of the town.
The Usansolo will have the opportunity to express their opinion, from 09:00 to 20:00, in Unkina Square, where the citizens will be able to choose the most suitable option for the connectivity of the municipality . Three options in the questionnaire are:maintenance of the Central Station , construction of a vehicle tunnel or connection ofanother bus to the Galdakao Hospital Station.
The latter, for the time being, is the decision taken by the Basque Government, that is, a bus that will bring citizens closer to the hospital in Galdakao. According to the organizers, the town deserves a station in the centre: "What we say is that, since the current station will be taken from us, a village of 4,500 inhabitants will also be worth putting in another."
