Renfe recovers from tomorrow the full service of the Bilbao-Santurtzi commuter trains
After the catenary fire on 23 September, the usual frequencies will be offered tomorrow from the start of the service at 5:02.
Renfe's C1 commuter line, which links Bilbao with Santurtzi, will recover all rail traffic, so it will offer 100% of the service every day of the week, after operating with a reduced temporary schedule between Barakaldo and Santurtzi due to the firein the catenary on 23 September, Renfe reported.
The incident was recorded in the catenary of Peñota (Santurtzi), which forced the interruption of rail service between Barakaldo and Santurtzi on the C1 commuter line. On 4 October, the entire rail traffic of the service provided on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) was restored, while the regular servicebetween Barakaldo and Santurtzi was reduced from Monday to Friday.
Last October 8, Renfe's C1 line resumed all rail traffic on working days until 13:00, while the rest of the day the September breakdown continued with the established frequency reduction.
From this Wednesday, October 22, the Renfe line between Bilbao and Santurtzi will recover all services, thus providing the usual frequencies from the start of the service at 5:02.
