According to the UPV/EHU in a statement, Rector Bengoetxea, Vice-Rector of the Bizkaia campus Estitxu Garai and Manager Javier Varona have met with groups represented in the Basque Parliament (PNV, EH Bildu, PSE-EE, Sumar and PP), except Vox.
The rectorate has asked for funds to update the infrastructure of the three campuses. It has also warned of the need to improve the working conditions of research professors and has denounced the fact thatpublic funds provided directly to the UPV for research have not grown in the last ten years.
