Vueling must compensate a sclerosis woman for not letting her bike into the plane
It happened in 2021 on a Sevilla-Bilbao flight. The woman who filed the complaint has mobility problems caused by multiple sclerosis. She needs a motorcycle to travel.
The airline Vueling must compensate a woman with multiple sclerosis with 1,500 euros for not allowingher to board a plane the type she needed to move.
It happened in December 2021 on a flight from Seville to Bilbao. The injured party and his partner purchased the airline tickets through a travel agency and had previously announced that they would take the bike.
The judgment, issued by the Bergara Court of First Instance and Investigation No. 4, states that Vueling had "prior knowledge of the characteristics and battery of the engine " and that it did not interfere with the sale of tickets.
The problem was on their way back. The flight commander didn't let the woman in and the couple had to stay out.
Faced with this situation, the couple had to rent a car to make their way from Seville to Bilbao, claiming from the airline the costs of rent, mileage and airline tickets that they had not been able to use, as well as compensation for moral damages.
