The telematic monitoring system to control the prohibition of approaching the victim in cases of gender-based violence and sexual violence has sufferedan incivism on Tuesday, forcing the Ministry of Equality to activate the protocol for the protection of victims.
Sources from the ministry headed by Ana Redondo have specified that " all victimsof sexual and gender-based violence using this device have been granted abixua, as well as the Security Forces, to ensure the protection of victims ".
It has also specified that "at all times" emergency services, known as the "panic button", the system that receives and delivers calls and autonomous proximity alerts through Bluetooth, have been in operation.
According to the Ministry, once all technical options have been evaluated, the source of the problem has been detected in a router that distributes messages to platforms according to the type of alert, 10% of which have been constantly repeating, resulting in an overload of the system.
In a video broadcast on social media, Minister Redondo has stressed that the protection system "goes beyond" telematic devices and added that it has "an institutional support network with many professionals."
Redondo has also assured that the system has been "stabilized" since 6 p.m. and has stressed that "no victim has been defenceless." Protocols have "worked" . "The entire comet system has worked properly, as soon as the protocols have been put in place," he concluded.
