Around 2000 people in Pamplona demand an arms embargo and a "cessation of relations" with Israel
On the occasion of the anniversary of the United Nations partition of Palestine 78 years ago, the citizens of Pamplona have once again mobilized against the Israeli massacre in Gaza, against colonialism and for the Palestinian people.
Some2,000 people took part this afternoon in Pamplona, according to the Spanish Government Delegation in Navarre, in solidarity withthe Palestinian people and in demand of the "breakdown of relations" with Israel.
The mobilization, called by the Yala Nafarroa Platform with Palestine ,coincides with the 78th anniversary of Resolution 181 that the UN decided to divide Palestine into two states.
The march departed at noon from Antoniutti Park, preceded by the Joaldunak. Members of the Hattah dance group in the West Bank have carried the Palestinian flag and held a dance show in Castle Square at the end of the mobilization. Duguna has travelled to Pamplona to twinkle with the dance group and will participate in various activities in the coming days.
Representatives of the Palestinian dance group will be in Lakuntza on Sunday afternoon, in Tudela on Monday and in Estella on Tuesday, as well as at the Freedom Institute Burlata.
In statements to the media, the spokesman for Yala Navarra, Lidón Soriano, has explained that this mobilization has been carried out in coordination with other cities at European level to "demand once again the total and total seizure of weapons from Israel" and to demand "the complete breakdown" of relations with this country, because "only by isolating the genocide can we end the genocide".
He has stressed that this is a "crucial moment" because "after the so-called Trump-Netanyahu peace agreement, we are aware that some citizens have demobilized thinking that it is really a peace agreement." In this regard, he has stated that "Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 300 times, has killed 268 people since it declared that it should carry out the ceasefire, and has not yet allowed humanitarian aid to enter."You might like
