Hernani will charge a fee to the organized buses that will go to the txotx season
Buses must park at the Ibaiondo Industrial Estate and pay a fee of up to EUR 100.
The scheduled buses that will travel to Hernani (Gipuzkoa) duringthe next txotx season, from 24 January to 4 May, will have to park at the Ibaiondo Industrial Estate and will have to pay a fee of EUR 100 for large vehicles and EUR 60 for small vehicles.
The Local City Council has stated in a statement that it is developing a web app that will be operational from January 12 and has specified that parking has a limit of 60 buses .
Moreover, if a fine of EUR 200 for urinating on the street is paid quickly, the 70% reduction will be reduced to 50%, so the penalty will be EUR 100 .
These have been the measures presented this Thursday by the City Council to improve the management of the local cider season and "seek a balance between economic activity and the well-being of the citizens ", the City Council said.
To this end, it has partially adapted three existing municipal ordinances to introduce these amendments, which were adopted unanimously at the extraordinary plenary last Tuesday.
Hernani Mayor Xabier Lertxundi has explained that the provisions respond to the diagnosis of the situation made in 2024, which highlighted the need to adopt a strategy to "develop a model of its own around cider and to combat the conflict of coexistence linked to the txotx era".
In recent years, Hernani has been conducting awareness-raising campaigns , distributing reusable glasses and additional urinaries, and hopes to "take further steps along these lines, seeking a balance between visitors and hernaniarras."
